Hello, and welcome to my online journal.
Professionally, I'm the editorial director of FalconGuides, the largest publisher of outdoor adventure and recreation books. I'm also an occasional freelance writer and editor, and co-wrote the forthcoming book, Mamaste (Chronicle Books, 2019). You can read more about my work here.
Amateurish-ly, I sing as a soprano with the Fairfield County Chorale and have performed "Let It Go" roughly 769 times in my living room. In my early thirties I took up running and completed the Philadelphia marathon in just under five hours. It wasn't impressively fast and it'll probably never happen again, but the thrill I felt crossing that finish line will stay with me forever. These days, I prefer hiking and yoga.
